I play FB/SS for the football team and throw the disc for track. Before the summer I was a solid 160....over the summer with your program I gained 12lbs and my lifts and ability on the field were unmatched, 500 squat, 510 hex bar DL, 350 bench, 265 clean+jerk, 34" vert, 4.48 40, I just wanted to send you some pics and say thank you, I loved your program.

About 6 or 7 months ago I started to train steadily with Zach in an effort to improve my overall athleticism. Before this time I was training like a bodybuilder and I looked strong, but I honestly did not feel it was giving me the return in exchange for all the time and effort I spent in the gym. When Zach trained me, we started attacking the whole body in a short period of time, 45 minutes max. This style of training has totally changed my whole outlook on strength training! My joints no longer ache throughout the day, and I have increased my strength, speed and power big time!

   I just graduated the police academy and the whole time I was in the academy I was training under Zach's guidance. I sometimes would only be able to work out once a week due to my hectic schedule, but he gave me a program to follow with out the weights, he called it farm boy training. I did these workouts in my back yard. They were short but brutally effective, helping me out perform all the other recruits, ultimately winning the PT honors award, breaking some very long standing PT records at the academy! 
 
 I wish I used this style of training when I wrestled in high school and college & I highly reccomend Combat Grappler training for any wrestler who is serious and wants to win!

Hello Zach,

Just a quick message on your combat training. I just finished my
certification in BFS (Bigger,faster,stronger) mainly for our weight
room at school. Being certified helps them for many reasons.
Many of the kids were training with the standard BFS system.

Well I started some of them on your Gladiator Training Methods. I am using the 14 week program from the book. Well, just to say every one of them said it KICKED their ASS! They looked at the work out and said "Coach, I just
walk around doing lunges, or carrying dumbbells? Pull ups and chin ups,
thats not hard."

Well when they got done they were wiped! All of them said the work out 
was tough!!!!! And the walking lunges were KILLER....

Like I told them, this is how you get strong and tough.....Carry heavy sand bags and logs and flip 400 LBS tires and you will have no problem pushing some line man around.

One training exercise we are doing is carrying sand bags up the
stadium steps doing squats half way up. They said I was crazy...
I told them " you guys said you wanted to win, winning takes work"

By the way, I highly recommend this book because it truly is the most comrehensive book I've read yet on the subject of Strength & Conditioning as it relates to combat sports. I have tons of S&C books as well so there ya go. 

I'm a huge fan of Farmboy training as well (which is covered extensively) and have had sandbags, large stones and buckets full of sand in my garage for years! Now I know exactly how to put them to good use! Great stuff!

    I bought your Gladiator Training Manual a week and a half ago now. Just wanted to drop you a line to say thanks very much! Some superb ideas that have inspired my training which has been in a bit of dip lately.
 
The bodyweight exercises and farmboy training are excellent! I haven't even tried some of the techniques yet but can't wait for the next session 'cause i can vary my training so much it's not boring any more!

This DVD is extremely thorough. It has excellent combination exercises for the whole body which develops strength that is outstanding for any athlete. The explanations for executing proper technique is excellent -- which is what many coaches ignore. The best part is that your DVD includes many apparatuses, and lots of variety so the athlete or coach does not have to have every piece of equipment known to man to get great results with this DVD.

TheGladiator DVD' is a great combination of both innovative strength training strategies and basic compound exercises. 
Basic elements of strength training are covered in detail and alternative exercises are offered.  The crux of the DVD however, comes with the innovative approach Dan and Zach demonstrate with sled and medicine ball exercises.
Overall, I thought this DVD was very professional and a great visual aid to parents, athletes, coaches and trainers alike!

 Zach - your DVD showed me the mistakes my friends and I would often make at the gym. Just using the normal exercises at the gym was not giving us a good workout and the results were not that great either. Since we started using the sand bag exercises, bodyweight exercises & Russian Kettlebells my friends and I are having a blast training this way!   

 I learned a ton of creative ways to get a great workout with things that are just laying around the house or cheap stuff from Home Depot. Since following the ideas from your DVD my strength has been improving consistently and my performance on the mat has improved as well!
